Course Mapping
General
TeeDroid is both an on course caddy and golf game statistics tool as well as an online community designed for golfers. The mobile application displays distances to front, middle, and back of the green as well as an unlimited number of landmarks. The mobile application also tracks statistics and posts them to the TeeDroid servers for review through the TeeDroid.com website.
Login and go to your rounds pages (assumes you have posted the round from your phone), click the start time of the round you would like to post. On the next page (round details) scroll down to the bottom and click the post to oobgolf link. A popup will ask you for your oobgolf username and password, click the post button once.
Mobile Caddy
TeeDroid Mobile Golf Caddy currently has released versions for Blackberry Phones of the following models: Pearl/8100, Curve/8300, 8800, Bold/9000; as well as iPhone 3G. We will soon release versions Android phones.
Blackberry
Once you have completed playing a round select Post/Finish round from the round screen menu - this will post the round to the server
You have 2 main options:
1) Hold down Alt key - and click back key (right of trackball) select the program to switch to from list, or
2) Click the hangup button to go to home screen - this does not exit the running application just returns you to home.

When the Blackberry application starts up it tries to acquire satellites - GPS satellite signal is very weak so if you are indoors or in urban jungle (tall buildings surround you) it is possible your phone cannot get enough satellites in view to calculate location.
(TeeDroid requires satellites because they are accurate enough for golf, cell tower triangulation has errors greater than 100 meters/yards.)
Verizon has decided to block access to GPS for 3rd party developers on certain models of their phones. We are currently working with Verizon to get TeeDroid approved. In the mean time you can use a bluetooth GPS receiver/puck with your Verizon phone. Sorry for the inconvenience.
iPhone
The iPhone version is now available on iTunes app store.
When you start a round in TeeDroid be sure to turn off live online scoring (posts each stroke to server in real time), you can also turn off WiFi and 3G as these drain your battery quick as well.
To advance to the next hole, set the tee box where ever and mark your first shot "in the hole". Once you're done, just delete the round. Don't post the round to the server or it will screw up your stats. In the future we'll provide an official way to do this.
Don't turn your device off unless you're going to have about 45 seconds to let the GPS reboot before hitting your next shot (like if you're waiting for a group ahead of you). The program will turn the screen off as soon as you put it in your pocket while in a round. To see this, start a round and cover the top part of the device (the screen will go off immediately).
