About Us
TeeDroid Inc is small startup located in Austin Texas. Currently it is mostly a one man show with help from friends.
The idea for TeeDroid Caddy is something I have been playing around with for years. It has had many different incarnations. For a while I had been considering whether to buy a golf gps device, especially after they were approved by the USGA. However, after seeing one in action during a round of golf I decided it was not for me. The device had the usual limited functionality of just displaying the distance to the green, and only being able to add courses whilst tethered to a computer.
TeeDroid Caddy was started as an entry for the Google Android Challenge. It placed in the top 100 out of almost 1800 challenges. Once the competition was over work started on developing it for other platforms.
